Total Basement Transformation

For the last few months Ben has been working to transform a basement space into a liveable space.  It started out as storage and the laundry room - completely unfinished.  Now it looks like this...

Ben did the wood on the walls, installed the pine flooring, and stained it all to match.
He built the countertop and installed the sink and stoves.

They wanted a rustic look, so the ceiling will remain open.

The blinds serve as doorways into the bathroom, storage room, and furnace room.

Ben built the 12 foot table from scratch.  I'm next on the list for one of these (but maybe not quite 12 foot yet!)

This is the bathroom.  Yes - it is vinyl siding!  Different, but I kinda like it!

The shower is through the opening...

Curtains on one wall instead of wood...

This is a studio apartment...so this is the bedroom!

There were a lot of other things that had to be done to turn a basement into liveable space, but this is just the finished product.
